What to expect
COME AS YOU ARE
Sometimes people feel like they have to “do better” “act better” before they
start attending a church. Relax! The focus of the service is on Jesus.
You’ll see all different kinds of people, so come as you are and come
expecting to encounter the Lord in a fresh way.
COME EARLY
The service starts at 10:00am, so try to arrive about fifteen minutes early.
Our hostess will greet you with a big smile and answer any questions you
might have...and by the way, we have a little gift for you too!
DRESS CODE?
Nope! All we ask is that you do come clothed! Some love to come casually
dressed. Others prefer to dress up. There is no dress code, so come as you
are.
WHAT’S THE MUSIC LIKE?
Our church loves to worship Jesus. We love to sing contemporary songs and we
place the lyrics on a big screen, so if you don’t know the song, you can
quickly follow along. Our worship is designed to celebrate God’s greatness,
and we love to do it with great passion! Some people raise their hands; some
worship in a more reserved manner. Bottom line – be yourself. Worship the
Lord in a manner that works for you.
WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?
If this is your first time with us, we would ask you to please keep your
wallet in your pocket unless you want to give. Just come and worship with
us. Each week we provide a time in our service to worship the Lord through
our giving. This is a time where those who call Three Rivers Worship Center
their home have an opportunity to invest in the Lord and His work. So just
relax and enjoy your time with us!
WILL I BE EMBARRASSED IN ANY WAY?
Not on your first visit. We always embarrass our new friends on their third
visit! Just kidding! We won’t make you stand up, sing your high school fight
song or any other fear inducing behavior you might have in mind. In the
welcome packet, we give our guests what we call our Connection Card. We will
give you the opportunity to complete this information so we can get to know
you better and to thank you for your visit. These cards can be placed in the
basket during the offering time. Otherwise, we simply want to make your time
with us an enjoyable and moving experience! |
